Eugene M. Green age 94 of Clinton, IA, passed away Thursday Dec. 29, 2022 at The Alverno, Clinton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday Jan. 2nd at the Church of the Visitation, Camanche. Visitation will be held Monday 9:30 AM until the service hour at the church. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial held at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Eugene was born on Oct. 23, 1928 in Clinton, IA, the son of Everett and Margaret (Murray) Green. He married Barbara Sazma on Oct. 4, 1952 in Clinton, IA. Eugene served with the Iowa National Guard from 1949-1969. He worked at Clinton Corn Processing as a Lab Technician for many years. He was a member of the Church of the Visitation, Camanche. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and playing cards.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Barbara Green of Clinton, IA; his daughter, Rebecca (Dale) Turkovics of Sunrise, FL; two grandchildren, Mark Hansen Jr. and Leigh Quigley; three great grandchildren, Breanna, Leah, and Declan; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
