Dorothy M. Stanley age 80 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 22nd at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 12:00 noon until the service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Dorothy was born in Sacramento, CA on August 26, 1944, the daughter of Clarence and Marian (McCray) Wagner. She married Russell Stanley, Jr. on September 22, 1962 in Omaha, NE. Dorothy had been employed at the Clinton Country Club, Famous Recipe, and at PFC. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, baking, reading, and traveling.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Russell; a daughter, Dotty (Terry) Ziegler of Clinton;6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Rebecca, Jeremiah, Jason, Layne, and Wesley; 18 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jackie Cullinan; a great-great granddaughter, Ellie Mae; a sister, Joanne, and 3 brothers, Jack, Everette, and George Wagner.
