Donna Mae Galusha, 92, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away, Wednesday February 5, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Following Donna’s wishes, cremation rights will be accorded. A memorial service and gathering of family and friends will take place Saturday March 22, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover Iowa. Visitation will be 10:00am to 12:00pm followed by a memorial service at 12:00pm with a luncheon to follow. A private burial service will take place later in the afternoon at Miles Cemetery.
Donna was born August 23, 1932 in Sabula, IA to Arthur J and Ida M Greve (Huebner). She grew up in Sabula, with her 10 siblings, and graduated from Miles High School in 1949 at 16 years of age.
On December 30, 1950, Donna married the love of her life, Donald. They were married for 71 years before he passed in 2022. They lived most of their lives together farming outside of Teed’s Grove, IA with their 4 sons for several decades. Donna was a faithful member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Andover Iowa. She and Don were active in the Luther League and went to New York City for a Luther League convention. They also sponsored intercity youth for 2 summers through the church.
Donna worked for KCLN, Balanced Energy, and retired from Edward Jones. In retirement, Donna and Don loved to golf, camping, traveling with family, volunteering with organizations, such as the American Bear Association in Orr, MN, and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed counted cross stitching, trivia, playing cards, putting together puzzles whenever she could, and word find. She was a master at crypto quote and sudoku.
Donna is survived by her son, Charles (Raymond Gomez) Galusha of Morrison, IL; a daughter-in-law, Mollie (Debbie Kays) Galusha-Kays of Clinton, IA; 3 grandchildren, Annette (Phillip) Laux of Burleson, TX, Matthew (Karlene) Galusha of Hazel Green, WI, and Colton (Shelby Wilke) Galusha of Bryant, IA; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Claira and Eleanor Galusha of Hazel Green, WI, and Lander Laux of Burleson, TX; 2 brothers, Lester Greve of Clinton, IA, and Willis (Glorianne) Greve of Bryant, IA; 1 Sister, Yvonne Meyer of Preston, IA; A sister-in-law, Susan McDonnell of Hudson Fl and “adopted kids” Rebecca Kroeger, Dean and Cindy Bartels and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; 3 sons, Michael, James, and Brian, grandson James Galusha, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Donna and Don visited my husband and I many times at our home in Kentucky. We a!so spent days at their home in Iowa . Both she and Don were very loving and beautiful souls . Our daughter Mollie was their daughter also . She loved her mother and father in law as much as her dad and I . Both Don and Donna and entire Galushsa family are very dear to me . Their son Brian became our son and his brothers very dear to us also . Chuck and Mollie my heart goes out to you and the grandchildren in your loss.
