Diana L. Tobin, age 76 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at her home. In following Diana’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Prince of Peace Parish. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:00 AM until the Mass Friday at the church. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Diana was born in Clinton on January 17, 1947, the daughter of William and Loretta (Steines) Schultz. She married Raymond Tobin on March 26, 1982 in Clinton. Diana had been employed at Lord Baltimore/International Paper, Custom Pak, ARA Food Service at Clinton Corn, and at The Canticle. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She was very active in church activities and volunteered with Mobile Meals and at the Victory Center. She enjoyed traveling, especially on bus trips, cooking, sewing, and in her younger years horseback and motorcycle riding.
Diana is survived by her husband Raymond; 7 children, Catherine (Paul) Van Buer of Clinton, Carolyn Peters of Chicago, Cecelia Tobin of Plainfield, IL, Tammy (David) Anson of Iowa City, Todd (Tricia) Knutsen of Clinton, and Robert Tobin of Clinton; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Patricia Peters of Sabula, and Mary (Mike) Grinnall of Clinton; 2 brothers, Randy (Hazel) Schultz and Wayne Schultz both of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Colleen Humphrey; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Tammy, Dave, Ben and Jackson…. we’re care so sorry to hear of your mom/ grandma’s passing. She was always a ray of sunshine when We were around her, and such a kind lady. I am so very sorry to hear of Diana’s passing. I always enjoyed talking with her when Maggie was due for grooming. She had a great sense of humor.
