I am so sorry for your loss. When Deb was a new graduate nurse she was assigned to partner with me for her first orientation at Mercy. As luck would have it during that time, we had some daunting assignments that would have challenged any nurse much less a new graduate. For Deb it was a challenge she met head on and successfully. These individuals were patients that had a lifelong impact on her (and me) and were never forgotten. It was then I recognized there was something very special about Deb and her ability to really understand what people were going through and not just master the skills of their care. Her kindness touched both co-workers and patients. I was so blessed to have worked with her and am grateful that you as her family could share her with us during her time at Mercy. I will never forget the experiences we shared and the kindness she gave to all. Blessings to all of you.
So sorry for your loss. Deb was a great nurse and gave so much to her patients. She demonstrated a strong work ethic. Deb such a kind person. A good person gone too soon.
This saddens me so much. We worked together in PACU/SDS for numerous years. Always as kind soul. I saw Deb and Lance at Walmart a few months ago; I wished I would have talked to them longer. You never know when it’s your last time to see someone.
