Deanna A. Gailbraith age 85 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Dec. 31, 2024 at Bickford of Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Deanna was born on June 12, 1939 in Savanna, IL the daughter of Francis and Pearl (Robinson) Gilson. She was raised by her step father, Fred Fish. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. Deanna married Marion “Mike” Galbraith on Dec. 8, 1957 in Clinton, he died in 2007. She worked as a secretary at Northeast High School and Clinton Community Schools.
Deanna is survived by her two children, Cindy (Mike) Hoppe of Clinton, IA and Mark (Alison) Galbraith of Liss, England; a grandson, John; 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren; and two sisters, Charlene Speakman of Clinton, IA and Peggy (Paul) Matlin of Salt Lake City, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Barry.
