Daniel (Danny) Robert Barr age 33 of Clinton IA, passed away at his home on September 26th, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-8pm on Saturday October 7th at Rastrelli’s in Clinton. A visitation will be held on Monday October 9th from 12:00 – 2:30 PM with a service at 2:30 PM at Pape Funeral Home. A burial will follow at St. Irenaeus

Danny was born in Clinton on December 11th, 1989 to Glenn and Theresa (Burken) Barr. He graduated from Clinton High School in 2008 and attended courses at Clinton Community College for 2 years. He worked in various roles around Clinton, mostly kitchens, and had plans to pursue a career with the DNR due to his love of nature and animals. He enjoyed volunteering his time working with animals and at the Sawmill Museum. He was an artist skilled in both photography and sketching, among other mediums. He used his artistic abilities to create animal enclosures for reptiles which was another passion of his. He was also an accomplished musician playing in many bands, most notably A seethe with his brother Brian and honorary brother Eric Diercks. He was still actively writing music and playing bass. Danny was most known by everyone for his kindness and generosity.
Danny is survived by his mother Theresa (Burken) Barr of Clinton IA, his brother Brian (Karlee) Barr and nephew Everett of Rock Island, IL, his brother Steve (Ann) Barr of Clinton IA, his sister Michelle (Joseph) Derwin of Davenport IA, his sister Nicole (Evan Banks) Barr of Tiburon CA and his partner Kaitlyn Evers of Clinton IA. He also left behind his Uncle Dave (Carrie) Burken, his cousins Kassie Engle, Kyle Burken and Amanda Arnold, his aunt and godmother Beth (Richard) Rannfeldt and cousins Christopher and dear friend and partner in crime Carmen Rannfeldt, his Aunt Mary Rose, his Aunt Sue Manglesen and cousin Kevin Manglesen. He is preceded in death by his father Glenn Barr, uncle Donald Burken and his grandparents Robert and Margaret Burken and Glenn and Jennett Barr.
