Cletus John Arensdorf, age 83, of Camanche, Iowa passed away following a short illness Friday, May 2nd, 2025 in Dubuque, IA. He was born August 27, 1941 to Lawrence & Lucille (Kreischer) Arensdorf in La Motte, IA. There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a future date. Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Clete served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. After his service he returned home and he married Janis Croce on June 6, 1964 in Maquoketa, IA. Their union brought them 3 children. In May 16, 1994 Clete married Catherine Lubben in Las Vegas, NV.

Clete was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening. He excelled at woodworking and most looked forward to spending time with family and his dogs. He worked for International Paper in Clinton, IA for nearly 40 years.

He is survived by his children Kevin (Mary) Arensdorf of Sunrise Beach, MO, Kelly (Hiram) Heysinger of Dubuque, IA, Eric Lubben of Camanche, IA, Michael Lubben of McCausland, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. His brothers, Jim Arensdorf of Maquoketa, IA, & Clem (Janet) Arensdorf of Bettendorf, IA and sister Shirley Dague of Maquoketa IA and several brother & sister in laws, many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. Clete was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cathie, daughter Kimberly, step-son Matthew, sister Virginia and brother LaVern.
