Christine K. ‘’Chris” May age 61 of Clinton passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 4th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses North. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3rd at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Chris was born in Clinton on January 16, 1964, the daughter of Richard and Claire (Densmore) Lehmkuhl. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1982 and received her Associate of Applied Science Degree from Scott Community College in 1987. She was employed as an X-Ray Technician at St. Luke’s Hospital and later as an Application Specialists with Phillips. Chris married Greg May on December 29, 2012. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and the Eagle’s Club. Chris enjoyed golfing, gardening, camping, and being with friends. She would do anything for anybody and she loved her dogs.
Chris is survived by her husband Greg; 2 sons Michael Pirrie of Washington; and Gregory (Alley) May of Clinton; 2 daughters Anna Pirrie in Connecticut and Laurie (Samantha Hagge) May of Clinton; a grandson Grant; 2 brothers, Richard Lehmkuhl of Chicago and Scott (Song) Lehmkuhl of Texas; 2 sisters, Pat (Ron) Rosenbohm of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Jody (Ray) Tucker of Clinton, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steve Meeker. Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
