Chad W. Peters, age 46 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport. In following Chad’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Imperial Lanes in Camanche on Saturday, May 18th starting at 3:00 PM till ?. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Chad was born in Clinton on December 9, 1977, the son of Galen and Diane (Johnson) Peters. He graduated from East Central High School in 1996 and attended Clinton Community College. Chad was a Senior Designer at IMEG in Rock Island. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. Chad enjoyed spending time with his niece Kaley, whom he truly adored, hunting, fishing trips with his buddies, playing washers, and bowling. He was the youngest junior bowler in Clinton to roll a 300 game. He totaled 19 300 games and 8 800 series in his career. Chad was a member of the Clinton USBC Hall of Fame. He loved being outdoors and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and New Orleans Saints.
Chad is survived by his parents, Galen and Diane Peters of Teeds Grove; a brother, Eric Peters (Chere Fraley) of Camanche; his niece, Kaley; his grandfather, Robert (Martha) Peters of Melbourne, AR, and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carol Jacobson, Gerda Peters, and Ralph Johnson. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Galen and Diane, We are so sorry to learn that Chad passed away. We know the loss you feel as we experienced the loss of a son also. We are unable to attend the Celebration of Life but know our hearts will be with you. He may be gone but your memories with Chad will live on forever. May he rest in peace.
