Carol A. “Nana” Foster age 80 of Clinton, passed away Friday Sept. 3, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday Sept. 8th at the Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
Carol was born on April 28, 1941 in Monona County, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Freda (Brown) Odom. She married Billy Joe Foster on July 31, 1958 in Cherokee, Iowa; he died in 1997. Carol was a homemaker and as a teacher’s assistant with the Clinton School District. She and her husband were Foster Parents for many children. She was family oriented, enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and many crafts.
Carol is survived by her two daughters, Teresa (Steve) Garrison of Ashton, IL and Rebecca Foster of Bettendorf, IA; her foster son, Corey Sparlin of Clinton; four grandchildren, Dustin, Joshua, Chris, and Mike; four sisters, Ruth Rohde, Dorothy Laursen, Vicky (Randy) Barber, and Brenda Rickertson; three brothers, Jack Odom, Butch Odom, and Mike Manning; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, and three brothers.
I will miss you Aunt Carol! Give my brother a hug for me! Love you! See you in a little while!

You will be missed Carol, I know I haven’t talked to you but a few times after Bill Jo passed but you were always a people person and made a person feel at home with you. You were always there to help other people. But now you with the Lord Jesus and Billy Jo
