We are so sorry and deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Grandma/Great Grandma. We have many fond memories of her and loved her very much. Although the years have passed, I will always remember her tremendous kindness when I was so far away from my family. She warmly welcomed me and always made me feel so comfortable. She had a special way about her and always a kind word to say. Nicolas even sensed that as a toddler. When we were back in Iowa, she came by for a visit. He didn’t want her out of his sight and tried to bring her back into the house when she was leaving. He always looked forward to seeing her on his trips to Iowa. He is blessed to have had her as a great grandmother, and we are both blessed to have known her. May she rest in peace.
