Rosemarie Jacobs passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation due to complications from dementia which is an umbrella term for a variety of conditions associated with but not necessarily caused by age. She was 86 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 7th at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at Faith Lutheran and from 10:00 AM until the service time Monday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Nathan, Nick, Noah, and Marcus Jacobs, Jasper and Mason Luckritz. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Rosemarie Pople was born December 10, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois to George and Dorothy (Emory) Pople. She attended Woodruff High School in Peoria and began working as a secretary before marrying Charles (Bud) Jacobs on October 20, 1957. Together they had four children, Bill Jacobs of Camanche, Iowa, Jim (Deana) Jacobs of Miles, Iowa, Rick (Michelle) Jacobs of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Pat (Angie) Jacobs of Clinton, Iowa. As a stay-at-home mom she not only raised her four boys but acted as a mother to all of the children she could. She wanted to especially mention Chad Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana and Penny Kramer Brown of Clinton, Iowa.

Bud and Rosie bought Modern Plumbing and Pump Supply in 1977 and she went back to work as the secretary for the company. They owned and operated Modern Plumbing for over 35 years. They were members of First English Lutheran in Peoria, Redeemer Lutheran in Bettendorf, St. Paul Lutheran in Clinton, and Faith Lutheran in Andover. She sang in the church choir and instilled a love of music in all of her children. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participating in all of their school and sports activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and her husband Bud. She is survived by her children, 9 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
