Betty A. Jost age 85 was a lifelong resident of Chicago, IL, where she worked in banking, human resources, and most recently at the University of Loyola in Chicago. She passed away Thursday June 23, 2022 at The Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton, Iowa. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday June 28th at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Clinton. Betty was born on Oct. 10, 1936 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of M.F. and Ida (Wagemester) Jost. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marilyn Jost and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Betty is a dear cousin and lifelong friend with my mom, Barbara. They were born 20 days apart from each other in that terribly hot dry year of 1936. Betty was wonderful keeping in touch with our family. I’ve enjoyed our visits since she came back to Clinton. May God bless her, Teresa Jacobsen
