Vicki J. White, age 81 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Private family services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Vicki was born in Clinton on December 20, 1940, the daughter of Loran and Helen (Jones) Winkel. She graduated from Clinton High School and received her nursing degree from Clinton Community College. Vicki married Kenneth White on December 19, 1959 in Clinton. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Jane Lamb and Mercy Hospitals for 25 years. Vicki was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Vicki and Ken enjoyed traveling on the Clinton National Bank trips and going to Las Vegas and Branson, MO. She loved reading, computer games, fishing, playing cards, and watching the Hallmark and HGTV channels.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Kenneth; 3 children, Sandra Stuart of Albany, IL, Steven (Teresa) White of Clinton, and Susan (Tim) Ingwersen of Clinton; 5 grandchildren, Craig, Ashley, Kasie, Zachery and Nicole; 18 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Nancy) Winkel of Clinton; a sister, Debbie (Ron) Pontsler of Bettendorf and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Christopher, son-in-law, Gordon Stuart; a brother, Tom, and a sister, Joanne. Memorials in Vicki’s name may be made to St. John Lutheran Church. My deepest sympathy regarding Vicky‘s passing I worked with Vicky in the behavioral health unit at the hospital. She was A wonderful coworker. She has a wonderful family. Again, I am sorry to learn of her passing.
