Lloyd W. “Skip” Bousman age 81 of Clinton, IA, passed away Wednesday March 2, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center, Clinton. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday March 7th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Clinton. Skip was born on March 18, 1940 in Clinton, IA, the son of Orval “Bud” and Iva Mae (Wagoner) Bousman and Dorothy Bousman. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1959. He served in the US Army from 1959-1962. Skip married Sandra Matthew on Aug. 29, 1959 in Clinton, IA. He worked construction with the Local Laborer Union, worked maintenance for Bluff Medical, Clinton and Community Care, Charlotte. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Clinton AMVETS, and the Eagle’s Club. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Skip will always be remembered as being strong but kind, funny, a bit of a prankster and jokester, always making people smile and laugh. He never met a stranger always befriending everyone and lending a helping hand to anyone. Above all he was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His family always came first.

Skip is survived by his wife, Sandra Bousman of Clinton, IA; three children, Brenda (Ed) Stremlow, Bridget LePrevost, and Brandy Marquis all of Clinton, IA; five grandchildren, Shannon, Jessie Ann, Ashley, Danielle, and Shea, and four step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; five brothers, Ed (Sandi) Bousman of Camanche, IA, Chuck (Jackie) Bousman, Jim (Patsy) Bousman, Keith Bousman, and Arnie (Megan) Bousman all of Clinton, IA; several nieces & nephews; and his beloved cat, Samson. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, Butch, and Sonny; two sisters, Lottie and Dee.
