Jeffrey R. Goodsman, age 74 of Clinton, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at Javon Bea Hospital, Rockford, IL. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday Feb. 24th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion will conduct military honors. Jeff was born on Sept. 30, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Robert and Harriet (Krebs) Goodsman. He was a Clinton High School graduate in 1966 and received his AA Degree from Mt. St. Clair College, Clinton, IA. He served in the US Army during Vietnam from 1967-1969, where he received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Jeff was a Clinton Fireman for over 27 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2002. He was a GB Packers and Chicago White Sox fan. He was an avid card player and enjoyed fishing.

Jeff is survived by his two sons, James and Joseph Goodsman both of Clinton, IA; his granddaughter, Ruebecca Goodsman of Clinton, IA; his brother, Kenneth (Patricia) Goodsman of Clinton, IA; a niece and several nephews and great nieces & nephews; and his dogs, Coco and Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents.
