John G. Williams, age 62 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Mercy One Hospital. In following John’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Friday, February 18th at the Pape Funeral Home. A Memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM with a celebration of life following at Rastrelli’s.
John was born in Clinton on January 19, 1960, the son of John and Carolyn (Horn) Armstrong. He graduated from Clinton High School and attended DeVry Institute and Northern Iowa University. He married Ann Ballard on April 6, 2007 in Clinton. John was journeyman electrician working with IBEW Local 145, Moline, IL. He was family orientated man who loved spending time with his grandkids and dogs and following the Green Bay Packers.
John is survived by his wife Ann; 5 children, Jeremy (Heidi) Williams of Fulton, Rachael Orte of Dallas, TX, Layla (Jamie) Sanders and Angelic (John) Gibson both in North Carolina, and Matthew (Sarah) Ballard of Lyndon, IL; 21 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 6 brothers, Dan (Renee) Williams, Glenn Armstrong, Roger (Tina) Armstrong, Guy Armstrong, Gary Armstrong all of Clinton, and Rodney Armstrong of Chicago, IL and a sister, Christina (Bernie) DeMoss of Clinton.
