Laura Lee Hammond age 63 of Clinton, Iowa passed away Wednesday Feb. 9, 2022 at Unity Point Health Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded. Laura was born on May 26, 1959 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Schroeder) Staas. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1977. She married Richard Hammond on June 26, 1987 in Clinton, Iowa.
Laura is survived by her husband, Robert Hammond of Clinton, IA; three children, Jacob Snyder, Jordan Snyder, and Ashley Hammond all of Clinton, IA; 10 grandchildren; her father, Richard Staas of Freeport, IL; two half-brothers and a half-sister. She was preceded in death by her mother and a son.
