Helen Lauritzen passed away on April 1, 2021. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 PM Saturday, April 3 at St. John Lutheran Church 416 Main Ave, Clinton, IA with services to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are her eight grandsons: Michael Kroymann, Andrew Kroymann, Timothy Kroymann, Douglas Kroymann, Colt Slayden, Samuel Kroymann, Zachary Kroymann, and Ethan Kroymann. Honorary pallbearers are her three granddaughters: Lyndsey Hagge, Amanda Kroymann, and Lauren Kroymann.
Helen was born on August 27, 1935 in Wheatland, Iowa to John and Elsie Johannsen Lorenzen. She married LouDonald Kroymann on November 23, 1955. He died in 1966. She later married and divorced Tom Dever. Helen married Don Lauritzen in January 1986 and he died in 2009.
Helen is survived by 5 children, David (Sandy) Kroymann of Low Moor, IA, James (Robin) Kroymann of Clinton, IA, Dorinda (Dave) Moens of Phoenix, AZ, Angela (Kevin) Shepherd of Phoenix, AZ and Daniel (Jennifer) of Olathe, KS; sons-in-law Jamie Slayden of Austin, TX and Dan Naeve, of Clinton, IA; daughter-in-law Angie Kroymann of Gretna, NE; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Caroline Malich of St. Louis, MO, Joan Slapnicka of Camanche, IA, Donna Laufenberg of Fairfield Glade, TN, and Nancy Luckritz of Clinton, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, son Steven Kroymann, daughters Sandra Slayden and Pamela Naeve, granddaughter Jennifer Kroymann, and sisters Elaine Garrison and Linda Wagner.
In lieu of flowers, Helen would like donations to go to a charity of your choice in memory of her.

Helen, or as I called her, Mrs Kroymann, was a class act. From hanging with Angie in school, to working at Kopps Market checking her out, to having her visit my store….always such a nice lady. Some people just can’t be replaced. Deepest Sympathy.
I worked with Helen years ago. Such a lovely lady. I’m sorry to hear of her passing.
