Gail, Mark, Dan and Ashley,
God Bless, you and your family– In this year, that your father passed in.
My father knew and thought the world of your Dad–not only working at DuPont together but were school age friends being from the south side of Clinton.
Sorry my search on obituaries – missed your Dad as we were helping our oldest relocate back to IA. with Home Depot, as Supervisor, in Cedar Rapids.
Thinking of you, with sympathy and the hope that time will bring comfort to your heart (Quote from dear friends card to us – After our Dad’s passing.)
Dan and family,
Sorry to hear of your father’s passing. From the old Longfellow neighborhood days to Little League, I recall Mr. Steensen as the model of a “good guy”. He seemed to be level headed in every situation from coaching to umpiring and life in general. As we have grown older, I appreciate how difficult that really is.
I learned to fold a flag form Mr. Steensen and was deeply influenced by his appreciation for the flag and what it represents. I have shared that skill with many over the years.
I watched him present flags to many families of veterans and know that his words to the family were heartfelt.
RIP Mr.Steensen.
Gail, Ashley, Mark, and Dan
I am so sorry to hear that your father passed away. He was very special to myself and my Father (Ed). Your parents and mine were the best of friends. I always enjoyed your parents at the DuPont Credit Union dinners every year. The DuPont group of friends were always there for each other. My prayers are with all of you during this time.. take care.

Gail, Mark and Dan,
I am sorry to hear of your father’s passing. He was a great man and a good family friend. I know my dad thought alot of your father. I still remember your father breaking down while playing Taps at my father’s funeral. It was incredibly touching. I hope our folks our now reunited playing cards and perhaps our fathers will do some bowling.? God Bless!?
