Alan D. Dierks, age 75 of Camanche, passed away Saturday Dec. 26, 2020 at his home. Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday Dec. 31st at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be held 5 – 7 PM Wednesday Dec. 30th at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Marty Jahn, Jayson Hebdon, John Unger, Tyler Rolston, Beth Dierks, Pam Norman, and Karissa Wilfong. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Alan was born on Jan. 23, 1945 in Clinton, the son of Donald and Marjorie (Peters) Dierks. Alan married Sharon K. Hebdon on Oct. 3, 1965 in Clinton. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at E.I. DuPont / Bemis for 47 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
Alan is survived by his wife, Sharon Dierks of Camanche; two daughters, Brenda Schreiber of Preston, IA and Beth Dierks (Pam Norman) of Clinton; three grandchildren, Karissa Wilfong(Tyler Rolston), Vincent Schreiber, and Wyatt Schreiber. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

We are so sorry to hear about Alan passing . He was always smiling and had such a great sense of humor. Larry has such fond memories of things he and Alan did growing up He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Beth and family I am so sorry for your loss. Beth was one of my best friends in HS and I fondly remember having dinner with her parents, Alan and Sharon, and they were so welcoming, funny, and kind. I remember being offered dessert immediately following dinner and that blew my mind! I thought that only happened on tv. Lovely family. Much love to you.
