Our prayers going out to the entire family in the loss of Aunt Lucile.  She was so special and I have abundant fond memories of her.  She inspired me with her hard work, continual positive attitude, generous spirit, and ever-present smile.  And mowing her own lawn well into her 90’s!  Am so grateful for the recent Zoom call where Aunt Lucile, sharp as a tack, remembered events and details I had forgotten. And my twin girls talked with her again, Nora and Aunt Lucile sharing their love of Pringles and pickles!  She was just one of a kind and I am so lucky to be blessed to have known her.  Love and prayers to all the family during this difficult time!

We will all miss Aunt Lucile's generous, loving personality. She was an amazing woman, a hard working farm wife for many many years. She worked at Nielsen's in Clinton, but she was the Postmaster in Andover into her 80's. And all this time she had a beautiful garden with vegetables, berries and flowers. Even when in her 90's,she would go out to her garden to work. She knew her children disapproved of this, but that didn't change her need to take care of her garden. Her sewing abilities were amazing, I wonder how many quilts she completed, as well as all the rag rugs she made. Her welcoming personality was a blessing to everyone, and she was glad to share the bread she made with us all. Her bread was unmatched and she was always glad to share it with anyone who stopped by. Her mind was extremely accurate, and she remembered details with ease, even from years and years ago. We loved her so much.

I am so saddened to hear of this. I was on vacation, and with the storm I am just finding this out. It was with great pleasure to have been able to help her with her needs at the Alverno. She was so lovely and I enjoyed getting her a Mountain Dew whenever I could. She would save her BINGO money just to have money for her pop. She always had the most amazing stories. She knew when I was gone to and would say where have you been. She was an amazing person. CNA/Med Aide Kim from the Alverno.
