I heard about Katie long before I met her. It’s either my family or Iowan’s in general, but I’ve noticed that people are measured solely by the size of their hearts. Having said that, my family always spoke about Katie with the same awe and reverence that a child reserves for their favorite super hero. Come to think of it, she WAS their superhero…she literally saved the day countless times. So, you can imagine when I finally got to meet her, I expected to meet either meet either Mother Theresa or Ghandi, but instead I met the life of the party! There she was in Auntie Marg’s kitchen, lighting up the room with her charisma, infectious smile and genuine desire to make everyone in her orbit comfortable. Such a petite little frame harnessing a goliath-sized zest for life. A true Iowan, she lived her life heart first and, with gusto, grabbed onto all of the fun this world had to offer. Rachel, Drew your mom meant so much to my family, and I’m guessing every single person in Clinton lucky enough to know her, but she was your mom and you two are way too young to have to say goodbye. My heart goes out to you and please know that you’re in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace Katie…you were loved by so many. Love, Kathy Reese

Condolences to the Honeywell family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds." May God bring you comfort and peace.
