We absolutely loved Jan! She was one of our favorite Truth Singers! She always made us smile and gave the best hugs. Jan worshipped Jesus like no one else. At Truth Singers when Jan would sing "How Great Thou Art," she would bring tears to our eyes as she worshipped her Savior with abandoned enthusiasm and uninhibited joy. We loved Jan's "Elvis" moves, her poses on picture night, and her famous "reindeer" dance. We would frequently have the same conversation with Jan. Jan would always say she wanted to marry Scott. Annette would tell her she was already married to him so she couldn't. Then Jan would reply, "I want his money." We would always laugh and say, "Jan, he doesn't have any money!" She would just give us a big grin! We loved her sense of humor. At Truth Singers, her weekly prayer request would be for her family. We always prayed for Maudi and Chuck. We will miss Jan dearly, but we know she is worshipping at the feet of Jesus with all the angels now. We long for the day we will see Jan again in heaven. Thank you for sharing her with us as she has truly blessed our lives. We are praying for all of you in your loss. In Christ's love and prayers, Scott and Annette Kaczinski

Jan, you were so loved. I wish I could have stayed in touch when I left CCI. You have often been in my heart and my thoughts. I hope you are happy in heaven with your momma and daddy. You once told me this day would come and not to be sad because you wouldn't be. I hope Elvis was singing when you walked through the pearly gates. I love you. To Jan's family, there is no way to express how sorry I am for your loss. The love you all shared was unique and more rare than you might realize. Jan was so lucky to have all of you looking out for her and loving her. My deepest condolences go out to you and you are in my prayers.

She loved oatmeal pies, being Elvis for halloween, shopping, making her "grocery lists" cutting ads from papers, villiage inn, disney and many others. She will be loved and missed dearly by all of us.jan and i would always talk about our birthday and whose was first. "We have same birthday" she would say. They are both in January. Hope jan is at peace now. She is with her mom and dad now. Dance your heart out in heaven jan, until we meet again. Hugs and prayers to the whole family.

The death of Mrs. Jan Phelan is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are those who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. Jehovah is the God of all comfort. My prayers are with you and your family.

My favorite memories of Jan were the summertime visits when we were children. She always wanted to hold my hand. A very simple gesture but one that made me feel oh, so special and loved. I loved her laugh! Part giggle, part mischief and pure fun. My heart will always carry the sound of her laugh, the warmth of her hand and her love. I love you Jan.

I remember Aunt Jan always singing an Elvis song. My favorite song to sing with her was "Hound Dog" and she was the loudest on the chorus. As a youngster, I was so amazed that my Aunt had so many boyfriends until she told me that my father was also one of her boyfriends. I am sure she will be having a peanut butter and banana sandwich with a king or two. I still had fond memories of when she raided my mother's makeup and lipstick. I think I got my laughter from this lovable and lively Aunt. You rock!
