Oh Grammy, I miss you so much already.  From the time I was tiny you always made me feel so special and loved. You and Grandpa were so generous with your love, time and talents.  You took care of your family well.  I couldn’t ask for better grandparents than you guys and Grandpa & Grandma Schadt.  Enjoy heaven together, and I will be there eventually to hug you again.  I love you Grandma, Jocelyn Irene Schadt Meyer

Irene was a very special person.  I shall never forget how especially kind and caring she and my Uncle Ken where when my mother passed away in 1960.  (I was 11 and have four younger brothers.)  Fond memories linger of the vacations I took with them and my cousins Marquita and Michelle.  One trip was to see the Rocky Mountains!  I'll never forget.  Each year I'd send Irene a Christmas card with news of our family, but I'd never receive a card back.  When I questioned by cousin about this, she said she didn't receive a card either, so I didn't feel so bad.  I forgive you, Aunt Irene, as your kindness to all and lovely soul trumps everything.  Say "Hello" to my Johnson relatives in heaven.  I treasure the memories of you all.

Such great tribute to your Aunt Irene. I'm glad we reconnected again so I could share with her how much those camping trips meant to you. She was going going to write you a letter. I found your address laying out on her table. She is reconnecting with all those relatives for sure!!
