The world is a better place because Flora was here, and those she touched directly while here are undoubtedly better people today because Flora helped us be that way by simply being the person she was.  She always greeted people with a smile, and constantly made an effort to help each of us see the brighter pathways. To Curt especially, my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Lowe's passing. I graduated in 1997 and I still have wonderful memories of MSC, including many hours in the library. Flora was always there to help and I loved her sense of humor. Prayers to Dr. Lowe and family.

Curt-- Linda and I are remembering you in your loss. Blessings! Flora's inviting smile, love for her library work, and energetic commitment to the college community she had so long served were memorable in the first tour I made of the campus as part of the Ashford University transition. Flora communicated "the spirit of the place"--not just in those introductory moments, but in every subsequent conversation. And on the study tours you and I led in England and Europe, I watched students' engagement "brighten" as Flora shared her insights. A treasured friend.

Curt, We are so sorry to learn of Flora’s passing. Although we had not kept in touch over the years, Jim and I fondly remember our tears as roommates with you and Flora at William & Mary. I will always remember her dry wit and that evil sparkle she would get in her eyes while we planned some mischievous escapade. We love you. Jim and Gail Tatum

Judy and I were so sad to learn of Flora's passing.  Our friendship goes back many decades to when Curt and I were grad students in History at Emory University in Atlanta.  We cherish memories of that time, and Flora and Curt are at the center of them.  Although the years led us our separate ways, our affection for Flora and Curt will endure always.

I am truly saddened to hear of Flora's passing, and for you too "Dr. Curt."  My fondest memories of England and our trip there all seem to include you two, and they remain among my favorite recollections of my entire Ashford experience.  Know that you both have a special place in the hearts of all of us who took that trip, and that you, Curt, have our sincerest hopes that you will find comfort in the knowledge that you and Flora will someday be together again in Heaven.  As you well know, she was first and foremost a very patient lady . . . a fact we collectively proved too often during our escapades across The Pond . . .

She'll wait for you, Curt.  Take comfort in that, My Friend.

My heart is broken at her passing.  I was so privileged to have had the opportunity to meet her during a study abroad program at Ashford 2009.  Her humor and delightful personality and warmth towards me was such an honor!  My condolences to you all.
