     Dirk F. Glahn, age 62 of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Crest Ridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa.  In following Dirk’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.  The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

 

     Dirk was born in DeWitt on October 26, 1955, the son of Daryl and Verda Mae (Kellermann) Glahn.  He graduated from Northeast High School.  Dirk had been an over the road truck driver.  He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake.  While in high school Dirk had been an outstanding athlete, especially on the football field.  He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, and being outdoors.

 

     Dirk is survived by a son, Josh (Heather) Glahn of Havre, Montana; twin granddaughters, Hendrix and Hennessey; his parents, Daryl and Verda Mae Glahn of Charlotte; a sister, Christine Christiansen of Morrison; two nieces, Katrina House and Hannah Shinners; two nephews, Brandon Eberhart and Broc Christiansen and several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.  Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

    Hey Buddy...I cant believe your gone, so many reminders, memories is all that is left. Ill never forget all those crazy trucking adventures that we barely survived with Gods help and alota luck.
