Mr. Chap was my freshman algebra teacher at Alleman. Before him I never was good at math. I was straight A's through all of my advanced math because of him. 40 years later I was still tutoring college math because of how well he taught. I've even worked in math on Ft. Knox with soldiers and their math thanks to him! My brother and I have spoken about him often. So sad to hear of his passing as well as his wife. He came back to our class after getting married and we all noticed his wedding ring!

I was a good friend of Chuck through the Knight of Columbus at St Pius X and have tried to get in touch with him since he left for Iowa. Chuck and I would have coffee on Saturday mornings and go over donuts sales and receipts. I was his helper and we would joke and talk about a mutual friend that he and I knew. I send my prayers and condolences to his family. God has been given a great man and I know he is at peace. God Bless.
