     Brian R. Riedesel age 53 of Clinton, passed away Friday Oct. 5, 2018 at his home.  Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday Oct. 10th at the Pape Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at

     Brian was born on June 9, 1965 in Clinton, the son of Robert and Ronna (Kyarsgaard) Riedesel.  He graduated from Clinton High School in 1983.  Brian was a carpenter, a trade he learned from his grandfather, Ronald Kyarsgaard.  Brian worked with Kristensen and Sons Construction for over 20 years as a finish carpenter.  He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and helicopters, growing exotic plants, gardening, playing his guitar, and his dog, Jake.  Recently, he enjoyed spending time with his special friends at the Silver Dollar Saloon.  He will be sadly missed.

     Brian is survived by his mother, Ronna Riedesel of Clinton; his sister, Lisa (Dana) Jewell of Clinton; his nephew, Aaron Jewell and his great nephew, Owen Jewell; two uncles, Michael (Mindy) Kyarsgaard of Clinton and LeRoy (Barb) Riedesel of Clarence, IA; two aunts, Mary (Dan) Levsen of Clarence, IA and Becky (James) Sayers of Lincoln, NE. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.



Memorial Service:

Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday Oct. 10th at the Pape Funeral Home.

    Ronnna and Lisa Sorry for you loss. Brian was a very skilled man.he put a lot of passion into his it was his work as a skilled carpenter, building his models or playing guitar.i remember as kids and young men growing up he use to challenge me to do the best I can on my model projects.that type of influence when we were younger made me appreciate the hard work you put into something you are building. I will forever hold the memories in my heart for the times we spent together in this in peace my long time friend....
