Online condolences may be left at Pape Funeral Home - Clinton, IA Cody was born Feb.27, 1998 in Mount Clemens, MI., the son of Tim and Miranda Richardson. Cody is survived by his parents, Tim and Miranda Richardson, his brother, Devin "Vinny" Richardson and his sister, Jade Richardson, all of St. Clair, MI; his girlfriend, Hollie Lind of Camanche, IA.; his grandparents, Mickey and Renee Wylemski, Juls Mieners, NaNa Sandra Froh; several aunts & uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bear Richardson. Cody attended school in Clinton, Ia. where he graduated in 2016. Cody played football for 7yrs, enjoyed culinary and welding class, treasured friendships created along the way and held close, those he called "Brother" today. His hobbies included shooting pool, gaming and riding his motorcycle. Cody's first job in 2013 was at Culver's where he demonstrated an exemplary work ethic for 3yrs. He displayed discipline, hard work and was ALWAYS on time (Ok...except that one time his Mom gave him Nyquil and he was ONE time, people!) His pleasant disposition and honorable character molded a bond of new friendships with his co-workers as well. During Cody's first year of employment was when he met his hearts match, Hollie Lind in 2014. (He was on the clock, but exceptions were made) They're undeniable love and devotion for each other was easily perceived, as words didn't require the validation. Cody loved Hollie with his whole heart- and we're all aware how big that was! Cody then went on to work at the Wild Rose Casino as a cook manager then to his recent job; Clausen Warehousing-Lyondell as fire watch. He effortlessly made responsibility a priority and his love for family and friends a reason. As our son and 1st born, we love him every second of everyday and couldn't be more proud of the person he was. Cody strived to please and was never short of just that. Watching him grow and evolve into the wonderful he truly was and has been more rewarding than we could ever fathom. He inspired us to be better parents, better people, and he made the world a better place to be in. Cody paved the way for his brother and sister, delicately unveiling this extraordinary life for them (at the small cost of "First Born trial kid"...Hey, those are the breaks!) Cody was always first to help, first to give and always said "I love you". Our most compelling result he gave: No regrets. Cody's brother, Vinny and sister, Jade were his inspiration, comfort and world. He always put them first. By cheering Vinny on as his biggest fan and enduring his relentless humor to shutting off Jade's light at night-(or buckling her seatbelt, or bringing her a polar pop, or...there's not enough room on this paper)- Cody took pleasure in it all. Including the unbreakable bond of love he shared with his first, two very best friends! Cody was attentive to everyone he encountered. Embracing his grandparents lessons and wisdom, his aunts' undeniable love and presence, his uncles' guidance and unity, his cousins he grew up alongside with and being a superhero in the hearts of his younger ones. His cape couldn't fly any bigger! Cody's soft eyes, infectious smile and embrace that made you feel like the only one -has branded us forever. So many lives touched and moments shared simply can't be justified in one column. We will always want Cody here; however his memory will live on within us infinitely. We were so very blessed to have 20 years of such a remarkable, breathtaking, loving and beautiful human being.........than not at all! ALWAYS BLESSINGS, NEVER LOSSES.
