Venita A. Hebdon, age 91, died Tuesday Jan. 16, 2018 at Prairie Hills, Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, January 19th at Pape Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kent Schreiber, Beth Dierks, Jayson Hebdon Sr., Jayson Hebdon Jr, Joseph Hebdon, Tessa Hebdon, Pam Norman, and Karissa Wilfong. Following the graveside service, a lunch will follow at the Clysar (DuPont Pavilion). Online condolences can be left at www.papefh.com. She was born April 19th, 1926, in Charlotte, Iowa to Claus and Theresa (Nissen) Dau. She married Dennis Hebdon on June 28th, 1944 in Clinton, Iowa. Dennis passed away on April 21, 1997. She worked at A.C. Nielsen for over 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Community Congregational Church. Venita enjoyed fishing, especially trips to Minnesota and Canada, camping and crocheting. Survivors include, daughter Sharon (Alan) Dierks of Camanche; son Dennis (Katie) Hebdon of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Stacy Lynn Hebdon of Minneapolis MN, Jayson (Carol) Hebdon of Robins, IA, Brenda (Kent) Schreiber of Miles, IA, and Beth (Pam Norman)Dierks of Clinton, IA; 6 great-grandchildren, Jayson Hebdon Jr., Joseph Hebdon, Tessa Hebdon, Karissa Wilfong, Vincent Schreiber and Wyatt Schreiber. She is preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, and a brother. Memorials may be given to Community Congregational Church, Prairie Hills of Clinton, or Camp Courageous of Iowa, PO Box 418, 12007 190th Street, Monticello, IA 52310-0418.

Visitation:

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, January 19th at Pape Funeral Home.

Service:

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Pape Funeral Home. Following the graveside service, a lunch will follow at the Clysar (DuPont Pavilion).

    We are so sorry for your loss. We have countless memories of Aunt Venita and Uncle Denny (before he passed). The cookouts at their house, the fun and love they shared with all. She welcomed everyone with a hug and a warm smile. She will be missed but never forgotten.
