    • To Wilma, His family, Peg (Gerry) and Susan (Warren) My most sincere condoences. I hope Jerry's celebration of Life brings you all some comfort during this difficult time. I know you all will treasure the memories that you each have of Jerry. St. Paul's in Richmond, Indiana is where I got to know Jerry and he and his family lived in our neighborhood. I remember how he enjoyed Scout's and I am glad he continued that in his adult life. I hope the love and concern from all of those around you will provide some comfort and peace through these days ahead.

To Kimberly and her entire family... wanted to extend my deepest condolences. Your dad sounded like an amazing husband, father, grandfather... And a child of God. I know that your heart is likely broken and full of sorrow right now. The one thing I do know about God is that when he takes us from this Earth that the person that goes to be with Him has no earthly worries in the world, they have no pain, no cares, no anxiety and they're finally at peace and serene...in the ways they deserved have deserved so long ago. This was the one thought that helped me & comforted me when my father died...knowing that he had zero earthly worries or concerns anymore and that he had no pain or sickness. I pray that your heart heals so quickly and that the people that surround you during your time of grief are able to love you and care for you the way you need. Love, Katherine Pittman❤

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. My dad was very amazing. One thing he did on his death bed is strengthen my belief in God. One of the last thing he said before going unconscious, is he said "good bye everyone I'm going with the Lord!

We are grateful for knowing Jerry since Test Jr. High. I so admire him for his strenght, commitment, endurance and perseverance. What a rock of integrity he always has been. I'm glad I got to rekindle our friendship and get to know Wilma. May God grant you and yours, peace and comfort.

Wilma, so sorry to hear of Jerry passing.  Reconnected with him a few years ago after 44 years. I enjoyed his posts on facebook and called him once in a while, but not often enough. I appreciated his advice when I had a right leg amputation last fall and engineered a left foot gas pedal to continue to be independent.  We were roomates for only about 6 months in 1973,Round Grove,Il but had lots in common as I eventually moved to Big Rapids, Mi and he had gone to school. in Mt Pleasant, Mi , just a stone's throw away.  In our busy lives, sometimes we do not keep up with the things that matter most. I thought I read a post about his being sick but never imagined it would end like this.  Ron Wooledge called me last night, that prompted me to look further into his status and unfortunately I had to relay the bad news.  Jerrys entire family will be in Sharon's and my prayers.
