Clinton, Iowa Duane J. “PeeWee” Hagge, age 86 of Clinton, passed away Thursday Nov. 16, 2017 at The Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday Nov. 20th at the Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. Visitation will be held Monday 9:30 AM until the service hour at the church. Burial at Andover Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Casket bearers will be his nephews. Memorials may be given to the American Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com. Duane was born on March 25, 1931 in Teeds Grove, IA, the son of Eddie and Clara (Greve) Hagge. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. He married Evelyn Farley on Oct. 4, 1952 in Andover. Duane was a farmer most of his life and was a truck driver for Pillsbury Mills. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Miles American Legion Post #677, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a volunteer for the Andover Fire Department. Duane was a Godparent to Mark, Linda and Tootsie Jones. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, woodcutting, and picking walnuts, cherries, and apples. Duane is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hagge of Clinton; his brother, Kenneth Hagge of Clinton, his sister, Marlene (Gilbert) Bott of Clinton; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-laws, Joan Hagge and Maxine Hagge.

Mary Jo was born on Dec. 8, 1934 in Delmar, IA, the daughter of Richard and Mary Agnes (Donahue) Powers. She graduated from Delmar High School in 1952, Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, and Marycrest University in Davenport. Mary worked at the Clinton National Bank for 46 years, serving as Vice-President before retiring in 2001. She had been a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and later at Prince of Peace Parish, Clinton. She enjoyed golfing, watching sports, and spending time with her family. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Mary Jo is survived by her two brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Powers of West Des Moines, IA and Donald (Kathy) Powers of Macomb, IL; her sister-in-law, Jane King-Powers of Clinton; her brother-in-law, Otis Clay of Aurora, IL; and multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Paula Powers-Clay in 2003, and her brother, Richard “Bud” Powers in 2002.

She married Rueben Kinzler on June 26, 1949 in Gackle, ND. She was a homemaker and enjoyed farming with her husband in North Dakota until 1957, where they moved to Clinton, Iowa. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Clinton. Viola enjoyed baking and traveling with her husband. Viola is survived by her husband, Rueben Kinzler of Clinton; her son, Darrell (Kathleen) Kinzler of Houston, TX; her grandson, David Kinzler of North Hampton, MA; her sister, Verna Schafer of Eugene, OR; and 8 nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters.

Clinton, Iowa Helen AnnMarie Mallinger, age 92, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at her home. A private graveside service was held at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home assisted the family. Helen was born in Lyons on September 13, 1925, the daughter of Paul and Elfrieda (Kunde) Zaehringer. She married Ray Malllinger on September 21, 1945 in Fort Jackson, SC. Ray passed away in 1988. Helen had worked at Lyons Drug Store and for Ma Bell. She was a member of the former St. Irenaeus Church where she served as church secetary under Fr. Philip Ryan. Helen had helped take care of children for a number of years for Lyon’s and Clinton churches. Helen is survived by three children; Daniel Mallinger of Camanche, James Mallinger of Clinton and AnnMarie Mallinger of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, her husband and a son, Michael. Clinton, IA After a five year battle with MDS and AML Leukemia, Bobae Kim Fogg went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 9, 2017. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Bobae Kim Fogg was born to Chan Sam and Okran Kim on February 25, 1962, in the city of Gwang-Ju, South Korea. She married David Fogg in the Stone Chapel at Camp Casey, Dong Du Chon in South Korea on May 9, 1987. From a young age, Bobae had a close relationship with the Lord and aspired to be a nun but was told that her purpose was to share her spirit of love and generosity with the world and that’s exactly what she did. She loved to feed people and make people happy—she would not take no for an answer! Bobae excelled at one of her most difficult professions, an Army wife. Her love made our house a home at Ft. Campbell, KY, Ft. Ord, CA, Ft. Hood, TX, Ft. Drum, NY and Weisbaden, Germany. Bobae owned and operated The Coffee Clinic inside Medical Associates in Clinton where she made many friends. She loved baking, decorating cakes and making eggrolls for her friends. Her fan favorites were her chicken enchiladas and German style Jeager-Schnitzel. Bobae also enjoyed her garden and was proud of her tomatoes, which she made salsa out of. Bobae was a certified Dental Assistant and devoted volunteer on every school trip of her son and daughter. She enjoyed listening to classical music, rides in the convertible and motorcycle cruises to Galena, IL. Bobae is survived by her husband David; her daughter Annie; brothers Kyu-Bong, Kyu-Wan and Kyu-Kwan; sisters Hae-Min and Bo In and many cousins, nieces and nephews in both South Korea and the U.S. She was preceded in death by her parents Chan Sam and Okran Kim; father and mother in law Sidney and Gertrude Fogg; her son Daniel and her cat Mitzy. Bobae was a light and effortless friend to so many and will be missed. Her family was the most important thing to her and she made that apparent in everything that she did.

Nancy was born in Clinton on May 11, 1953, the daughter of Edward and Jeanne (Rood) Jones. She married Donald B. Fisher on May 18, 1990 in Clinton. Nancy worked as a cashier at Eagles Food Market for many years. She will be missed by her fellow residents of Park Towers and prior co-workers from Eagles Foods. Nancy is survived by her husband Donald, sister Deborah Jones, brother Michael Jones, special friends Viola Thomas and Tonya Laher, and her dog Chloe. She was preceded in death by her parents and her dog Oreo. Memorials may be made to the family.

She graduated from Lyons High School in 1953, Clinton Business College, and Clinton Community College as LPN. She married Larry Dierks in 1954 in Clinton, James McColley in 1972 in Clinton, and later James Fuidge in 1985 in Clinton, he died in 2003. Jo Ann worked at the Iowa State Bank, Mercy North Medical Center Physical Therapy, and was an LPN with Home Health Care. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Club and the Community Congregational Church, UCC, where she served on various Boards and Committees at the church and taught Sunday school and leading Senior and Junior High Youth Groups. She enjoyed reading, sewing, camping, walking, all her dogs, and especially her grandchildren and family. Jo Ann is survived by three children, Roger (Susan) Dierks, Tammy (Mark) Ebensberger, and Robert McColley all of Clinton; two step children, Nancy Fuidge and Jeff Fuidge; four grandchildren, Angie, Christy, Andrew, and Matthew; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Orlin (Marsha) Campbell of Clinton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James, and a sister, Madonna.

She was a lifetime member of the Wa-Tan-Ye Club, and volunteered at Prince of Peace Parish, Sisters of St. Francis, and the gift shop at Mercy North Medical Center for 11 years. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, going to the casino, bowling, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and loved her cats and hummingbirds. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Margaret Burken of Clinton; her two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Kenney of Belvidere, IL and Jean Kerens of Florida; and numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Ellen, and three brothers, James, Gerald, and Robert.

Mary Elizabeth Walters was born on January 3, 1940 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of William and Martha (Reed) Schroeder. She graduated from Freeport High School. Mary married Oliver Walters on November 22, 1975 in Morrison, IL. Oliver died in 2006. She worked as an assistant manager at McDonald’s for several years. Mary was a member of Faith Center Church in Albany, IL. She enjoyed knitting and arts and crafts. Mary was loved dearly by all her family, especially her grandkids. Mary is survived by her daughter Laura (Steve) Hammond of Clinton; step children Tammy Walters of Bettendorf, Todd Walters and Kathy Green both of Rock Island; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a brother Gary (Sally) Schroeder of Lebanon, PA; step brothers Russell Mellnick of Freeport, IL and Wilbur Mellnick of Lewisville, TX and a step sister Jeanette Yeager of Freeport, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Oliver; daughters LeAnne and Leah; stepson David; two grandchildren Adam and Joshua and a step brother William. A 1947 graduate of St. Mary’s High School he attended St Ambrose College following graduation. He married Lois Wessel on May 20, 1950 in Clinton. Bill managed Eagles and Randall’s Food grocery stores for many years. He was a partner in Hyde, Weber, and Jaeger Realtors and later worked at Howes & Jeffries Realtors as a real estate agent; retiring in 2016. Bill was a member of the Iowa Army National Guard, coached in Clinton’s Little League Baseball organization and was a founding member and president of the Clinton High School Boosters Club. He attended Immaculate Conception Church, Fulton and Prince of Peace Parish, Clinton. He served on the City Assessor’s Office Board of Review. An avid life-long Chicago Cubs fan, he also enjoyed pheasant and duck hunting. Bill’s true passion and greatest joy was his family. He loved keeping up with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s activities. Bill always had time for family. Bill is survived by his wife, Lois Hyde of Clinton; three children, Barbara (Charlie) Brown of Hampton, IA, Mark (Kathy) Hyde of Orlando, FL, and Col. (Retired) Tom (Leslie) Hyde of Woodbridge, VA; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Hyde, Matt (Laura) Hyde, Kristen (Chris) Proskey, Katie (James) Armstrong, and Dan Hyde; 5 great grand-children, Riley, William, Pierce, Owen, and Teagan; a sister, Mary Lou Sparks of Clinton; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
