Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday April 3rd at Faith Lutheran Church, Andover. Visitation will be held Tuesday 9:30 AM until the service hour at the church. She married Donald Diercks on Nov. 11, 1945 in Elvira, he died in 1993. Alice and her husband farmed together for many years. She also worked at Mercy Hospital in housekeeping. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and enjoyed playing cards, where she attended several card clubs. Alice is survived by her son, David (Pat) Diercks of Low Moor; daughter-in-law, Lynda Diercks of Sparks, NV; five grandchildren, Craig, Eric, Andrea, Rebecca, and Travis; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Hook of Marion, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son, Kenneth, her sister, Helen, and two half-sisters.

Evelyn was born on March 20, 1931 in Preston, IA, the daughter of Wayne and Mabelle (Frahm) Farley. She graduated from Preston High School in 1949. She married Duane Hagge on Oct. 4, 1952 in Andover, he died in 2017. Evelyn and Duane farmed near Andover for over 40 years. She was a homemaker and worked at General Electric in Morrison, a waitress in Preston, and with Domestic Care. Evelyn and Duane enjoyed ballroom dancing and she was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Red Hat Club. Evelyn is survived by her three sisters, Norma Clausen of Preston, Janet Farley of San Diego, CA, and Roberta Haley of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and three brothers.

He was a Northeast High School graduate. He married Becky Rotenburger on May 14, 1989 in Clinton. He worked 17 years as a press operator for International Paper and 17 years with ALCOA. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Donald is survived by his wife, Becky Wiley of Camanche; his daughter, Melissa Wiley of Clinton; his mother, Patricia Lee of Clinton; his brother, Kent (Renee) Lee of Clinton; and a sister, Stacey (Aaron) Adrian of Ft. Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and his mother and father-in-law.

Camanche, IA William A. “Bill” Rowson, age 75 of Camanche, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home Surrounded by his loving family. In following Bill’s wishes cremation have been accorded. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery with military rites by the Miles American Legion. Memorials may be made to family wishes or Faith Lutheran Church. William was born on May 30, 1942 in Clinton, the son of Maynard C. Hermena (Holdgrafer) Rowson. He graduated from Elvira High School in 1960. He served with in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 – 1964. He married Jeanne Schroeder on February 18, 1984 at Faith Lutheran Church. Bill retired from E.I. DuPont after 36 years of service. He worked at Detterman Blacktop the past 7 years. He was also a substitute school bus driver for 20 years for Northeast and Clinton schools. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, a former member of Low Moor Fire and Rescue and Andover Fire and Ambulance. Bill was a past-president of Andover Lions Club, former city clerk in Andover and a member of the Miles American Legion. Bill enjoyed his 15 years of going to Yuma, AZ and his 14 years at his Lake Thunder Head home in Unionville, MO. Bill very much loved his very best friend Jeanne and all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife Jeanne; sons, Michael Rowson of Clinton and Randy (Amy) Rowson of Blue Springs, MO; a daughter, Rhonda Welford of Clinton; step-children, Laurie (Terry) Geary of Clinton, Julie (Bob) Haring of Clinton Steve (Elenna) Schroeder of Goose Lake and Chad (Corey) Schroeder of Clinton; 8 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 18 step-great grandchildren and a sister, Mary (Les) Peters of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard and Hermena Rowson and a brother, Maynard.

Arlene was born on December 20, 1933 in Clinton, the daughter of David and Dagney (Anderson) Kinkaid. She married William Reid on January 28, 1950 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Clinton. Arlene had been employed at the Clinton Garment Factory for 28 years. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening, walking, fish fries, feeding the hummingbirds, and cooking for her family. She loved sitting in the sun tanning and their camping trips to Bagley, Wisconsin. Arlene is survived by her husband, William; three daughters, Gloria Raun, Donna Matz and Diana (JD) Dohrn all of Clinton; a son, Raymond (Bobbie) Reid of Baggs, OK; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, June (LeLand) Thompson of Clinton, Ruth Ann (Dean) White of Maquoketa, and Laurie (Lawrence) Heath of Muscatine and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Renae; two sisters, Ruby Wynkoop and Doris Lyman and a brother, David “Bud” Kinkaid Jr.

Bud was born on July 3, 1944, in Wapello, IA, the son of Gordon V. and Latoska (Bush) Bennett. He was a US Army veteran. He married Debra Lehnertz on Aug. 25, 1984 in Clinton. Bud worked at the Clinton Postal Service before serving the City of Clinton as a Clinton Police Officer for over 38 years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs, going to the casino, and spending time with his family. Bud is survived by his wife, Debra Bennett of Clinton; four children, Michael Bennett of Clinton, James (Stephanie) Bennett of Independence, IA, Brandi Lehnertz of Phoenix, AZ, and Stephanee (Mat) Hughson of Cambridge, WI; four grandchildren, Morgan, Koby, Garret, and Lilee. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Greater True Love Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton. She graduated in 1965 from Clinton High School. After graduation she married & later divorced Peter Green. Deborah was a member of 2nd Baptist Church from childhood and later moved her membership to Greater True Love Missionary Baptist Church. Deborah retired after 29 years working at Clinton National Bank as executive secretary. She was a member of Naomi Chapter #1 O.E.S. in Davenport, Iowa and was a Past Grand Worthy Matron of Electa Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star P.H.A. State of Iowa and Jurisdiction. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents Winifred Greene and Walter Dabner and other family. Survivors include her brothers Kevin Blakely of Clinton; Walter Jr, Edward, & sister Sherri Dabner of Texas; Step mother Eugenia Dabner of Texas; Aunt Georgia Jackson of Kansas City, Mo.; Cousins Katherine Phillips & Paula (Charles) Taylor (Davenport, IA), Terry (Gloria Freels) Golden Valley Minn., a host of other cousins & special friends Joye Brantley & Sheila Barrows.

A Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Lucille was born on March 8, 1925 in Clinton Ia. She was the daughter of Edward and Calla (Nielsen) McDuff. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1943. She married Louis Klahn on February 15, 1947 at St. Irenaeus Church in Clinton. He preceded her in death in August 2005 after 58 years of marriage. She worked at Rich Toy Factory, Waukesha Motors, JC Penney’s, Petersons, and retired from AC Nielsen Coupon Clearing after 17 years. She enjoyed bowling, especially in the 55+ League, music, chaperone the CHS Band, and her family. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter Kathleen (Timothy) Day, and one son, Mark. She has five grandchildren, Dale (Whitney) Day, Leslie Day (Greg Shipp), Melissa (Matt) Kenworthy, Kristina (Alex) Bane, Justin (Jessica) Klahn. She has 11 Great Grandchildren: Juniper, Jonas, Jaden, and Elijah Day, Matthew, Mallory, Melanie, and Madison Kenworthy, and Audree, Natalee, and Sydnee Bane. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of Baby Klahn. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Hazel Nelson and Vera McDuff. Camanche, IA Evelyn A. Farmer, 73, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at her home in Camanche, Iowa. Visitation will be held at Pape Funeral Home, 2308 Pershing Blvd., Clinton, IA 52732 on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Cremation rites will follow with burial at a later date. Evelyn was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 17, 1944, the daughter of Irene Szafranski and Walter Alksnis. She was one of 13 siblings. She spent most of her life living in the Chicago area and retired to Iowa about 12 years ago. She married Bill J. Farmer on November 9, 1996. Bill passed away in October 23, 1998. Evelyn was a hard worker her entire life even after retirement. She had many skills, talents and hobbies that included, crocheting, cooking, building puzzles, word searches, playing canasta and her newest hobby was making embroidery. Her two dogs Pepe and Bella were her everything and her fur babies. Evelyn is survived by her five children Thomas (Joanne) Alksnis of Peoria, IL, Irene (Dave) Lovitt of Oak Lawn, IL, Della Drew and Wayne Holt of Minooka, IL, Helen (Tony) Hodina of North Riverside, IL, and Janice Alksnis of Clinton, IA. Evelyn has 9 beloved grandchildren Dominic, Angel, Thomas, Casey, David, Danny, Derek, Jennifer and Nicole. Evelyn also had 7 great grandchildren Alex, Arabella, Tylor, Tayla, Terrin, Kayla and Keira. She is also survived by a brother Joseph Alksnis, Dave Alksnis and a sister Irene Conrad. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; grandson Danny Lovitt; and many other siblings, close family and friends.
