Connie A. Koehn age 85 of Bellevue, formerly of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Jan. 9, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 AM until the service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Radio Mission. Connie was born on Nov. 8, 1932 in Clinton, the daughter of LeRoy and Isabelle (Naeve) Eggers. She graduated from Clinton High School and Jane Lamb School of Nursing in Clinton. She married Walter Koehn on June 19, 1955 in Andover; he died in 1992. Connie was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, working at the former Jane Lamb Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. She was member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ladies Aid. During her time in Clinton, Connie delivered Meals on Wheels. She most enjoyed spending time with all of her family; one joy in particular was reading to her grandchildren. Connie took delight doing crossword puzzles, genealogy, her loving cats, and the scenic views of the river in Bellevue. She enjoyed attending Saturday night services at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Connie is survived by her three children, Ruth (Don) Dierks of Clinton, Sara Koehn (Al Michels) of Bellevue, and Lora (Scotty) Scheckel of Bellevue; 7 grandchildren, Rachael (Ryan) Putman, Samuel Rogis (Bailee Law), Lesley and Bradley Krebs, Emily (Ben) Hingtgen, Eliza and Wyatt Scheckel; five great grandchildren, Aubrey, Blake, and Brycen Putman, Isaiah Pease, and Gunner Hingtgen and her sister-in-law, Phyllis (Lester) Marshall of Miles. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Larry Eggers, and nephew, Kenny Eggers.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 AM until the service time Saturday at the church.
